What is the XRGameKit?

Gaming bikes can cost thousands of dollars. The XRGameKit (exergame kit) turns your stationary bike into a far more powerful interactive exercise bike for a fraction of the cost. How Does it Work?

The XRGameKit is a configurable game controller. The computer sees it as a keyboard, a mouse and a dual-shock game controller. It sends keyboard, mouse and dual-shock gamepad messages to your computer in response to your physical actions, like head tilt, pedal motion, or walking motion. You use the configuration software to customize the XRGameKit to your favorite PC games and personal preferences.

 

Important!

1. The XRGameKit is not plug and play. You will need to configure your PC Games to work most effectively with the XRGameKit. If you do not have any experience configuring PC games, then you will need to find a PC gamer to do this for you.

2. The XRGameKit is a configurable game controller. It's easy to configure it using the GUI-based software. In most cases you will be able to simply load one of the sample config files to configure it. To get the most out of the XRGameKit you will need to learn how to use the configuration software.

3. The XRGameKit does not come with any games. It is a configurable game controller that can be used with existing games.

Below is an example of using the XRGameKit with the driving and racing game Fuel.

 

Your pedal motion controls the speed of the vehicle.    Pedal forwards go go forward.    Pedal backwards to go backward.    The faster you pedal, the faster you go.   Tilt your head to steer the vehicle    Tilt your head left to go left.    Tilt your head right to go right.    The more you tilt, the sharper you turn.   When interacting with fight simulators and air combat games, your forward and reverse head tilt can make the plane go up and down.   The XRGameKit gives you precise control over your vehicle when you assign your head tilt and pedal motion to the joysticks to the virtual game controller.

The Technology Behind the XRGameKit?

The PC Interface receives signals from the Bike Pod and Steering Pod through a wireless connection. In response to these signals it generates any of the following inputs to your computer.

• Keyboard key presses,

• Mouse button presses,

• Mouse motion,

• Game controller button presses,

• Game controller joystick movement.

You use the XRGameKit software to assign your pedal motion and head tilt to the any responses listed above.

 

Works with other Exercise equipment.

Easy to install

The Bike Pod clips onto your pedal arm and wirelessly transmits your pedal speed and direction to the PC Interface.

The Steering Pod clips on to a baseball cap (provided) and wirelessly transmits your head position to the PC Interface.

The PC Interface plugs into your PC and interacts with hundreds of PC games.

It will likely work on MAC and Linux operating systems, however you would need to configure the device on a Windows operating system.
